How YouTube Changed Online Videos Forever
5.) The World Feels Smaller Now
Ok so it’s true, before YouTube was in our lives we could still learn about foreign countries and cultures by opening up books, mini-essays on the internet, watching documentaries and looking at photo books. However, YouTube lets us take things a notch and learn about other countries and their cultures all around the world from the people who actually live there.
It’s honestly amazing that with a swift effortless YouTube search we can view a Russian music video, take an intellectual ride to Bhutan, the last Shangri La, or find out everything there is to know about Sweden. It is opening up new doors for people. That’s for sure.
4.) YouTube Helps People Get Discovered
In the past ten years, YouTube has made some new opportunities for the discovery of talents. Never has it ever been so easy for talented singers, dancers, actors, and artists to reach immediate fame. Today, anybody can upload a video of himself singing to YouTube and, if it’s viewed by the right people, he could receive millions of views, thus earning himself a record deal and begin a whole new life overnight. Sound familiar? When Justin Bieber’s mom uploaded a few videos of her son singing to YouTube to share with family and close friends she had no idea that the videos would be viewed by music manager Scooter Braun and that Justin would have the opportunity to meet Usher and become a pop star.
3.) YouTube Offers A Platform For Spreading Truth & Inciting Change
YouTube has provided people around the world a layout through which they can post videos to show the everyone, from a first-person perspective, what is happening on in their countries; to show everyone the real scenarios that might not be being spoken about on the news or may be masked by the government; and to let everyone know about all the different issues that they may not have heard about and getting said viewers to go out and take action.
YouTube has also evolved the style of entertainment. We used to watch TV every night, go out to see a movie, and even read novels. Today we can probably spend hours on YouTube, watching video after video. YouTube includes shows, movies, home movies, cartoons, web series also known as YouTube series and so much more and the best part is that we can access all of this for free from home. And the entertainment of YouTube isn’t only broadcasted on YouTube. YouTube clips are constantly being shown on the news, and on popular live audience TV shows such as Good Morning America and Ellen.
1.) It has revolutionized education.
